Clarifying the statements of Vice President Phil Harrison, Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One will have a recording buffer of five minutes.
During the Eurogamer Expo Harrison was quoted as stating that Xbox One will be capable of recording “as much or as little as they want.” Something which would have given them a major edge over their competitors of the Wii U and Playstation 4. However, it seems that this statement was taken out of context. When Game Informer published an article on the subject, Microsoft soon contacted the magazine with an update. In this, the company stated that the time limit remained unchanged with the following statement:
